The closing comments for digital morphology NEQAS 2202DM are out. I said:
“Hypochromic microcytic film showing acanthocytes with occasional
pencil cells.
Blast cells and smear cells seen.”
The narrative… wasn’t very helpful. This was supposedly a case of AML, but many of the diagnostic features appeared once, and they weren’t particularly good examples.
Bearing this in mind and the fact that it is over a month since I looked at the film… I’ve got to question the worth f this as a learning tool. I need feedback right there and then, not a month later when I can’t remember anything about it.
