This picture appeared this morning on a Facebook group I follow. The question was “what is it”.
It looks like a monocyte to me; not especially noteworthy. Some vacuoles; monocytes have them.

The on-line comments were interesting. Some agreed with me. A minority felt it was *definitely* a lymphocyte. One person said “I always thought only atypical lymphs skirted around red cells, whereas monos just lay over them” – that is new to me.

One or two said it was a white cell as though that was all the identification that was required…
