The nice people
at UKAS sent their update today. You can read it by
clicking here. I have read it, which probably amazes anyone who knows me.
I’ve mentioned
before about how the whole UKAS philosophy winds me up. In theory the whole principle
of accreditation is such a sensible and wonderful idea. In practice it is so
often reduced to a pedantic insistence of the application of irrelevant
principles and practices.
Perhaps if we
went back to the old days when those assessing the implementation of the
standards actually knew the first thing about the workplaces they are assessing…
