Time for
another BTLP-TACT exercise.
I was
presented with one case – a nineteen year old female requiring twenty-eight
weeks blood group antibody screening.
She
grouped as AB Rh(D) Positive with antibody screen positive in all three cells
so I requested antibody panels.
The IAT
panel was positive in cells 1, 3, 5, 6, 9 and 10 which looks like anti-E and
anti Fy(a) but could not exclude anti-Cw
The enzyme panel was positive in cells 3 and 5 which corresponded with the anti-E
The problem here is the anti-Cw. I would expect it in the enzyme panel… it wasn’t there. Have I excluded it… No.
I got the green light…
