I thought
I’d better do a BTLP-TACT exercise before I got told off for not having done one…
I logged
on and the software presented me with nothing… I sighed – the software can be
flaky. I pressed the “refresh” button and it gave me two cases.
- 90150 – A thirty-five
year old woman in theatre requiring group & save
She grouped as A Rh(D) Positive with a negative antibody screen. - 27445 – A seventy-four
year old chap in the cardiac unit requiring two units of blood within the hour.
He also grouped as A Rh(D) Positive also with a negative antibody screen.
I selected two units of A Rh(D) positive blood.
I got the green light…
