The nice people at Lablogatory sent a rather
interesting article today. Billed as a “Transfusion
Medicine Case Study: Fetal Maternal Hemorrhage in a Trauma Patient” it was
more of a discussion of the Kliehaur test and anti-D prophylaxis. One line made
me think – “concluded that the literature
supporting relying on the KB as a predictor of fetal distress was lacking
evidence and nonconclusive”.
Does anyone use that test to monitor fetal distress?
