I
did my clinical governance e-learning today. I passed. Clinical governance is
one of those odd subjects. It can be summed up by saying “keep your trap shut”, and keeping your trap shut and respecting the
privacy of the patients is rather obvious. However I suspect that I am missing
something vital. So often managers will get be singing the virtues of some new
way of working and after so much discussion that will say that their way has to
be implemented because of “governance
issues”, and it is at that point that everyone shuts up.
I
wonder if this is just a ruse, or if I really am missing something?
