I
won’t try to sugar-coat the pill… it wasn’t worth the electricity it took to
send the email. Which made me think. What exactly does the IBMS do these days?
Back in the past before CPD was compulsory the IBMS had local branches; we all
took part in them. They would stage scientific meeting and events locally and
regularly. Nowadays when we need that sort of thing because CPD is a legal
requirement, no one has time for the IBMS. More and more its running is being
left to people who are very far removed from the workplace, and its relevance to
my hands-on daily practice becomes less and less.
Such
a shame…
