I
had something of a fight with the BTLP-TACT software today.
I
correctly said that the Rh group of a particular patient was indeterminate. The
software then refused to let me issue blood (I would have given Rh(D) Neg), and then marked me down for not
having issued the blood.
And
then I had a case with an antibody. I correctly identified an anti-E by enzyme.
The software then said I had correctly identified anti-E by IAT. I had, but
hadn’t told the software that I had done so…
Is
the software rogue, or do I still need to build up more familiarity with it?
