piccie appeared in the Haematology Interest Group on Facebook today…
When
I saw it I made a note of it with a view to writing it up a few days later. But
when I came to write it up I can’t help but think that doesn’t this entirely
sum up the Facebook Haematology Interest Group. The introduction to the photo
merely reads “Peripheral blood smear
showing Trypanosoma parasite” which, whilst technically accurate, passed up
a golden opportunity to impart some knowledge and experience from those who
actually saw this photo in real life to those who have never seen such a case outside
of an EQA exercise (i.e. me!)
