Yesterday when mentioning my Atlas of Haematology I said “the next move is to update each linked page. I’ve got to decide on a common format, appearances, fonts…”
You can see the atlas by clicking here.
I’ve decided to move away from Google
Documents. They look very good on their own, but don’t really work as a linked
frame. Click the link on the left-hand column of the Atlas which reads “Tear-drop
cells” and you will see what I mean.
And linking to blog entries looks messy.
Click on the link on the left-hand column of the Atlas which reads “Cabot
Rings” to see that.
I can edit the format more using Microsoft Word.
I’ve now created a template and updated the three platelet pages to the new
format. Click on any of those links – I think they look far better without the
Google menus at the top of the frame. You disagree? I suppose it is a matter of
personal choice, really.
I am very tempted to rush at it and do the
lot now, but I shall take my time. As well as updating the format of each page
I shall take some time improving the content of each page. I suppose that (in
many ways) the last thing I want is a finished atlas. I want a “work in
progress” which shows evidence of ongoing effort in a thinly veiled ruse to
fool any CPD inspector…
(One of my many failings is that I am
far too flippant…)
If any of my loyal readers have any photos of cases they have taken themselves and would be happy to share, I’m keen to collaborate. The only real reservation I have is that this atlas is a CPD project, and as such it’s got to be “personal”. Anyone can blag photos from Google images..
