The
American Society of Hematology sent
their newsletter today. Much of it wasn’t really relevant to me, but I was
intrigued by one article. The FDA have issued guidelines on the use of
artificial intelligences in healthcare. The article quoted the director of the
FDA’s division of digital health as saying “We want manufacturers of these
technologies to make products in a way that will actually be useful, and at the
same time it’s not going to create a situation where people are getting hurt”,
I wonder
just what impact artificial intelligence will have in healthcare? My job has
been automated and robotised beyond anything I might have imagined when I first
started all those years ago…
