I got a
little confused on the night shift…. I was asked to provide CMV-negative blood
for a patient with a haematological condition. I asked why; I was told the
reason was that they had a haematological condition.
That isn’t a
reason for specifically supplying CMV-negative blood… is it?
By now I was
doubting myself. I did a little research.
I was right
all along. Basically CMV-negative is a mums-and-babies thing.
But I was
rather worried that I’m got it wrong.
