Joint ISO-ILAC-IAF Communiqué on ISO/IEC 17025

Joint ISO-ILAC-IAF Communiqué has been updated to clarify that
laboratories accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 are recognised as meeting the
requirements of ISO 9001.

It

Harrison, UKAS Assessment Manager, passed away during April.

Transition of IQIPS management to UKAS
The
Royal College of Physicians withdrew from the management of the IQIPS
scheme with effect from 01 April 2017. UKAS has assumed full management,
including the pre-assessment stage.

First accreditations for verification of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Maritime Transport
UKAS
is one of the first accreditation bodies in Europe to accredit
verification bodies under ISO/IEC 14065 for the EU Regulation 757/2015
relating to the monitoring, reporting and verification of greenhouse gas
emissions from Maritime Transport.
