The nice people at Lablogatory sent out their update today, and reading it made me even more convinced that I should be considering retiring. This simply isn’t the job I signed up for.
The update was ostensibly about safety in a laboratory. This is a serious matter, but how was it addressed? “Safety Champions”, “huddle”, “compliance”… Why not speak in plain English? Safety in a laboratory *isn’t* about having the paperwork in the right font in the right coloured ink. It’s about not eating the blood samples…
However I would question if those writing these articles actually come in contact with these blood samples any more…
