I
*have* crossmatched and issued
granulocytes before. But it is a rather rare and obscure procedure. Finding myself
faced with the strong possibility of having to do so again (at a time when there would be no help about)
I thought I’d better brush up on the matter.
The
guidelines didn’t tell me anything I didn’t actually know, but revision is
always worthwhile.
