A rather interesting case which appeared in one of the Facebook groups I follow this morning - a 40 year female with splenomegaly 8cm . Hemoglobin 3.5 platelets 45 and wbc 200.

The group is intended for people taking the FRCPath exam so you would assume people there have some morphology ability. Is the case lymphoid or myeloid? Opinion on the matter was divided. From the age I'd say myeloid, I'd say that about the morphology too... but I must admit a certain reluctance to commit myself. I suppose this shows the need for immunmophenotyping if nothing else...
