Time for a
BTLP-TAC exercise.
I was
presented with two cases
72182 – a thirty four year old woman in the gynaecology department requiring six units of blood as soon as possible.She grouped as A Rh(D) Negative with a negative antibody screen. I selected six A Rh(D) Neg K Neg units (one was irradiated)
89460 – a seventy-seven year old chap in A&E requiring group &
save. He grouped as A Rh(D) Positive with a negative antibody screen.
I got the green light
