One thing
which never fails to amaze me is how my professional life is so cyclical. When
I first started, the costs of my training were part of my wages. My employer
paid all the tuition fees, and paid my travel costs to and from college. And
even paid a fair whack of my lunch on that day too,
Over the
years this was dropped. People had to pay for their own education, and consequently
fewer people signed up for the job.
