Here’s
an interesting case study… what do you do when you get an unexpected low
platelet count? Re-run, check for a clot, look at the blood film, see no
platelet clumps and think it’s clotted anyway…
Look for schistocytes and red cell fragments.
TTP can kick off with very little warning…
