Plasmodium cynomolgi has been
identified in humans. That is now eight species of malaria known to infect
humans.
It
was only four back in the day…
Since
this latest discovery has a range somewhat more extensive than that of those
previously known to be a threat to humans, I can’t help but wonder how many
people will be infected before the maps finally get re-drawn…
