19 July 2018 (Thursday) - Sweet's Syndrome

I saw a diagnosis I’d not seen before – Sweet’s syndrome. I looked it up.

Sweet's syndrome is a rare skin condition. Its main symptoms include fever and painful skin lesions that appear mostly on the arms, neck, head and trunk.
The exact cause of Sweet's syndrome isn't known. It can be triggered by an infection, illness, cancers or certain medications.
The most common treatment for Sweet's syndrome is corticosteroids such as prednisone. Signs and symptoms often disappear just a few days after treatment begins, but recurrence is common…

One lives and learns…
