We had a rather interesting talk today on Hepatitis
E and how NHSBT are now providing Hep-E
negative blood and blood products.
The recommendation has been made that Hep-E
negative components were required for specific patient groups:
- Allogeneic
stem cell/bone marrow transplantation
- Solid
organ transplantation
