- Treating pulmonary
embolism.
- Preventing thromboembolic
disorders, particularly following surgery or in people bedridden due to

clots in the coronary arteries in unstable angina and myocardial
infarction.
- Preventing blood
from clotting when it is filtered through a haemodialysis machine.
